Exclusive event venues in Leipzig

Five venues for exclusive events in Leipzig

Ideally, when planning an event you want to offer your guests something special. They should feel comfortable, experience a special atmosphere in an exclusive setting, and be able to unwind in the evening. Leipzig offers many such unique event venues, all of which have that certain something and round off the offer with culinary delights, wellness and spa facilities, and even exotic places to meet. We present five locations that make every event an unforgettable experience.

1. Congress Center Leipzig (CCL): State-of-the-art standards and unique ambience

The fact that Leipzig is a world-class city is due in part to the Congress Center Leipzig(CCL). With an exhibition area of 3,650 m² and a total capacity of 3,700 visitors in the CCL, as well as 15,000 people and 20,000 m² of exhibition space on the trade fair grounds, there is enough room for large events of all kinds. It is not without reason that the CCL is one of the most state-of-the-art congress and conference centres in Europe.
The CCL is located on the grounds of Leipziger Messe and is directly connected to the imposing Glass Hall and the exhibition halls. This means unrivalled flexibility for organising individual event concepts of all types and sizes. The 23 workshop rooms and halls in the CCL offer space for up to 3,700 participants. If using the Leipziger Messe area as well, organisers can plan large events for up to 15,000 people. Even though most pandemic restrictions have been lifted, the CCL and Leipziger Messe still apply their SAFE EXPO hygiene concept to ensure the highest hygiene standards. Together with Leipziger Messe and the KONGRESSHALLE am Zoo Leipzig, the CCL is pursuing a strategy for sustainable conferences. “Our sustainability concept includes various aspects that contribute to strengthening the idea of sustainability within the MICE industry and making events environmentally friendly. We make it easy totravel to events by public transport, and we also attach great importance to energy efficiency and sustainable catering,” explains Ronald Kötteritzsch, Director of Marketing at the Congress Center Leipzig and the KONGRESSHALLE am Zoo Leipzig.

2. Action and conferences at the Porsche Experience Center Leipzig

The Porsche Experience Center Leipzig is already impressive from afar: with its stunningly elegant design, the building rises up in the shape of a diamond. The entrance is flanked on the left and right by two wide stairways. Indoors, the sports car manufacturer has focused entirely on exclusivity. The comfortable lounge is characterised by simple stylishness. The four levels offer just about everything you could want from an exclusive event venue: from the Carrera Café on level 1, where guests can sip their coffee near the iconic Carrera RS 2.7, to the impressive auditorium on level 3, which seats up to 500 people. The restaurant at the Porsche Experience Center Leipzig offers varied and international cuisine together with fantastic views of the Porsche circuit.
What makes this event venue particularly unique are the all-important extras, which are particularly popular with car fanatics. For example, Porsche Leipzig offers guided factory tours. Visitors can experience first-hand how the Panamera and Macan are manufactured. Organisers may opt to combine their event with thrilling driving experiences for their guests, letting them test Porsche’s range of models on Porsche Leipzig’s very own tracks – either as pilot or co-pilot.
“Unique insights into the past, present and future of Porsche await every visitor at the Porsche Experience Center Leipzig – an up-close, and at times hands-on experience,” explains Sales Manager Jörg Zahn. With an indoor area of well over 5,000 m² for in excess of 680 guests and an outdoor area of more than 400 hectares, this venue is great for events of all kinds and sizes.

3. Leipzig Marriott Hotel: Premium-class meetings and accommodation

The Leipzig Marriott Hotel is one of the most exclusive establishments in the city. It is loved above all for its versatile services and facilities that leave nothing to be desired. The 231 rooms, including eleven studios, offer plenty of comfort so guests can really enjoy their stay. People can start or end the day with some exercise in the in-house fitness centre or pool. Thanks to its city centre location and proximity to Leipzig’s main railway station, the Leipzig Marriott Hotel is very easy to reach. With a total of 10 conference rooms across 636 m2 of floor space, the hotel is ideal for hosting small and medium-sized events. The “Creme BRÜHLé” event space, which owes its name to the historic Brühl trading street on which the hotel is located, offers live cooking events, for example – a great way to add that special post-congress experience. “From coffee breaks with barista workshops and yoga classes as conference energisers, to a hotel escape room challenge, we have come up with everything,” says Thomas Nörlich, Director of Sales & Marketing at Leipzig Marriott Hotel. In the past, the hotel has hosted a number of important congresses, such as the “Siemens Healthcare & Vertrieb & Service Region Ost” annual conference with 160 people (2018) and an investment consultants’ convention with 180 people (2019). This year, the COVESA All Member Meeting took place with 125 participants from all over the world, as well as the general meeting and annual conference of the association mpn-netzwerk e.V. with 150 people.

4. The Westin Leipzig: Multi-award-winning congress hotel

The Westin Leipzig is just a few minutes’ walk from the main railway station. It’s hard to miss the towering hotel, which has a special treat in store: the hotel rooms only start from the tenth floor, meaning all guests can enjoy spectacular views of the city. This is where luxury meets elegance, so everyone can experience a comfortable stay. Due to its city centre location, the hotel has perfect public transport links and also boasts 200 parking spaces, with separate access to the banqueting area. The hotel also offers top-class congress comfort in every other respect. A projector in the lobby, various mobile screens, reliefs with a logo and in colour as well as 18 individually usable flagpoles lend every congress a special branding effect. What’s more, The Westin Leipzig offers not only the sporting assistance of the Running Concierge but also selected spa services, where participants can end or begin the day with a soothing massage.
With 52 meeting rooms, consisting of a large ballroom, an exhibitor area and a large number of group rooms, the exclusive hotel offers enough space for larger, interactive events. One special feature of this hotel are its culinary delights. The restaurant FALCO has been awarded two Michelin stars. Here, Michelin-starred chef Peter Maria Schnurr (“Chef of the Year 2016”) creates his special and extravagant dishes, which are appreciated and respected worldwide. The SHINTO Bar & Lounge also offers its own lovingly created drinks, from fruity cocktails to exclusive whiskeys.
With its exclusive features, The Westin Leipzig is a popular location for pharmaceutical and automotive industry congresses. One reason being that the hotel even has the space and possibilities to present vehicles. For example, the halls of this well-known congress hotel have already housed the BMW After-Sales Conference as well as DOW Chemical’s large international summer meeting.

5. Zoo Leipzig: Extraordinary conferences in immersive themed worlds

A zoo as an event venue? In Leipzig, this unusual combination is possible. Anyone looking for a truly unusual venue will find it here. For example, up to 370 event guests can indulge in African specialities in the Kiwara Lodge while enjoying a spectacular view of the savannah. At Hacienda Las Casas, participants enjoy the flair of South America and exotic food. Two banquet rooms and a large, tastefully restored guest room for events offer space for 100 people. On warm summer days, the concert garden welcomes parties of up to 1,700 people, making for unforgettable outdoor events with a stage, live music and cultural performances. In the neighbouring Palmensaal (“Palm-Tree Hall”), up to 120 people can enjoy exceptional delicacies amidst palm trees in the stylish ambience of the 19th-century Gründerzeit. The Kiwara Kopje event area is perfect for corporate anniversaries, company parties or exclusive customer events in the open air with up to 1,000 people. The event rooms of the themed tropical world of Gondwanaland are particularly popular for conferences with up to 220 participants. A spacious Asian-style event area and two flexible, air-conditioned event rooms are available all day. In the evening, the adjacent Patakan restaurant can also be booked exclusively, with space for up to 350 people to celebrate. In addition, taking a boat trip on the jungle river or a tour of Leipzig’s vast tropical world will ensure your event is in a class of its own.
